Like many of us, Mandi grew up so very active in sports and eventually became passionate about powerlifting. Sadly, at just 26 years old, Mandi was involved in a car accident that left her partially paralyzed from the chest down. After spending almost 6 weeks in the hospital, she knew she wasn’t going to let that be the end of her powerlifting career. She had herself back to working out before they even released her from the hospital. Mandi has made many small improvements in feeling and movement and iis currently in school working towards a masters degree in human nutrition and dietetics, and hopes to focus on helping those with spinal cord injuries.
